Two decades of engineering Sri Lanka's infrastructure
Senura Civil Engineering (Private) Limited began its journey in 2002, founded by Mr. Somadasa Gallage and Ms. Preethi Sujeewa Wanniarachchi Kankanamge. From the very beginning, Senura set out to transform Sri Lanka's civil engineering landscape, earning a reputation for delivering engineering solutions that consistently exceeded expectations.
In September 2018 the company entered a new chapter when the founders passed the torch to Mr. Hewawasamge Ravindranath Srilal Wijeratne, Chairman of Rank Holdings — a diversified conglomerate with decades of experience across entertainment, infrastructure development, plantations and investments. As sole shareholder, he brought Senura the financial strength, managerial prowess and technical know-how of the wider group.
Today Senura is a CIDA CS2-graded contractor with a total staff strength of 818, including 31 qualified engineers and 19 consultants, and a fleet of more than 260 owned machines. We hold ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification, and have maintained an unblemished delivery record since 2006.
